Dewata
Six guests. Eleven crew. Indonesia on your terms.
The Experience
A Day Aboard Dewata
The day starts at the bathing platform, where the sea is already warm by seven. Certified divers follow the cruise director to the first site before breakfast; everyone else takes a kayak into the mangroves or stays on the aft terrace with coffee and the sound of water against ironwood. By ten, the anchor is up and Dewata is moving. Seven knots, trade wind astern, the smell of salt and teak decking in the sun.
Six guests and 11 crew means every preference is noted and anticipated, not asked about twice. Afternoons carry the structure guests choose: a second dive, paddleboards in a protected bay, a massage on the terrace, a hike to a ridge with a view that explains why people come back to these islands. Dinner arrives under stars, three courses from the galley, with the night anchorage chosen by a captain who has been here before.
The Vessel
Technical Specifications
Designed for Remote Passages
Dewata was purpose-designed by Yann Martinie for extended passages through Indonesian archipelago waters, including the Banda Sea and outer Raja Ampat islands. Her 5,000-liter-per-day water maker, twin generators, and full safety equipment suite reflect genuine expedition preparation rather than coastal day-trip specification.
Accommodation
Three Cabins, Zero Compromise
The two master cabins sit side by side on the main deck aft, each 18 square meters with queen-size beds and full ensuite bathrooms finished with rainfall showers, organic toiletries, and robes. Positioned at the stern, both cabins open toward the water. The private aft terrace serves both, with a dining table, sunbed, and al fresco shower above the bathing platform.
The lower deck guest cabin converts between a 180x200cm double and two 90x100cm singles. It has its own fully-appointed ensuite bathroom, air conditioning, and enough wardrobe space for a 10-night itinerary. For families or a trio of couples, the layout works without negotiation.
The anchor drops at dusk, and the only question left is how long to stay.
The Team
Meet the Crew
A 1:1.8 guest-to-crew ratio gives Dewata one of the most attentive service profiles in Indonesia. The cruise director holds PADI instructor certification and guides every dive personally, while the massage therapist, chef, and bartender each focus on a single purpose.
