Siloina
Twin phinisis launched in 2023 and 2024 for the Mentawai surf circuit and the breaks beyond.
The Experience
A Day Aboard Siloina
The day starts before sunrise. The crew has read the swell forecast and the tide tables, and the tenders are loaded. By six the first surfers are on the water, paddling out to a break that, for the next few hours, is theirs. Breakfast is ready when they return; the chef has been up since 5:30. Between sessions, guests eat on the mid-deck, review the morning's footage on the top-deck screen, or settle in the air-conditioned salon.
Fourteen crew looking after up to ten guests means no one queues for a tender, a tank refill, or a coffee. Afternoon sessions run until the light fails. Evenings settle around the upper-deck bar, sundowners while the crew finishes dinner, and the surf guide briefs tomorrow's conditions over dessert. The rhythm is structured enough to maximize water time and relaxed enough that no one feels scheduled.
The Vessel
Technical Specifications
Two Vessels, One Program
Siloina I and Siloina II are completely identical. Same hull, same five-cabin layout, same Suzuki tenders, same fully stocked bar. The two-vessel structure means simultaneous charters, faster turnarounds between bookings, and a crew that moves between yachts without missing a step. Either vessel delivers the same trip.
Accommodation
Five Cabins, All Convertible
Each Siloina has five air-conditioned, en-suite cabins. Each cabin converts between double and twin configurations, so the same berth works for a couple traveling together and for two friends sharing on a group trip. Hot, fresh-water showers, full air conditioning, and finishes in warm timber.
For surf coaches, photographers, and group leaders, an extra crew cabin can be made available on request. With ten guest berths plus the optional crew cabin, groups have room to bring the surf coach or the photographer without compromising the guest cabins.
The anchorage is yours alone, the break is firing, and the tenders are already in the water.
The Team
Meet the Crew
Fourteen crew for up to ten guests works out to more than one crew member per guest. The surf guide knows the breaks across the Mentawai and the northern routes, built across seasons rather than single trips. The chef is internationally trained and accommodates dietary requirements with notice.

Siloina FAQ
How much does a Siloina charter cost?
Siloina charters in the Mentawai Islands at $30,100 per week in peak season (May to October), $28,000 in shoulder season (March, April, November), and $25,200 in low season (December to February). The same rates apply in 2026 and 2027, plus 12% Indonesian VAT. Charters in Aceh, the Banyaks, Nias, and the Telo Islands are quoted on request.
What surf level is required?
Siloina caters to a range of ability levels. Shoulder season (October to April) produces smaller, cleaner conditions suited to longboarders and intermediate surfers. Prime season (May to September) brings the consistent four-foot-plus swells that suit experienced surfers. The surf guide selects spots daily based on the group's ability, so mixed-level groups work well.
What is included in the charter rate?
The rate includes a full crew, all meals and non-alcoholic beverages, fuel for the planned itinerary, surfing and water sports equipment, airport and hotel transfers at the port of embarkation, satellite internet, and laundry service. Spirits, beer, and wine, special provisioning, surf rental equipment and lessons, local surf taxes, crew gratuities (10 to 15% customary), and flights are additional.
How many guests can book per cabin?
Each of the 5 cabins accommodates two guests in either a double or twin configuration. Full charter capacity is 10 guests. Charter Siloina I or II as a private whole-boat booking, or enquire about individual cabin availability on scheduled departures. An extra crew cabin can be made available for surf coaches, photographers, or group leaders.
