The Yacht

A two-cabin phinisi for couples and small parties in Komodo and Raja Ampat.

Sanya is Pacific High's 36-meter phinisi, designed by Yann Martinie de Maisonneuve and built around two cabins for up to five guests. The navy-blue hull is the first thing visible at any anchorage. The superstructure is ironwood and teak, designed for light, air, and unobstructed views from every cabin.

The 25-square-meter master suite sits on the main deck with a private aft terrace, bathing platform, and an outdoor shower. A sofa in the master converts to a child's bed, making the cabin work for a young family. Below deck, the guest cabin converts from twin to double, sleeping a second couple or a pair of children.

Eleven crew for a maximum of five guests. The team includes a cruise director who doubles as a PADI dive instructor, a spa therapist offering treatments with locally sourced oils, a dedicated chef, and a bartender. The dive program carries a 325-liter compressor and a Nitrox blender system for extended bottom times.

Pacific High, the company behind Sanya, earned the 2024 World Luxury Travel Award for yacht charter and the 2025 Yacht Style Award for phinisi builder and charter. Sanya sails Komodo, Raja Ampat, and the Banda Sea on seasonal rotations.

Where her sister vessel Senja is built strictly for two, Sanya opens the door to a small family or a couple traveling with friends. The extra length and the fifth guest berth give her flexibility without diluting the intimacy that defines the Pacific High experience.

The Experience

A Day Aboard Sanya

Morning starts on the aft terrace of the master suite, where coffee arrives before the anchor chain has settled. The dive team is already loading the RIB for the first site. Those who prefer the surface find kayaks and paddleboards staged on the swim platform. By mid-morning, the chef has set breakfast on the upper deck, and the day takes whatever shape the guests want.

Eleven crew means the day adapts to each guest without anyone having to ask. The spa therapist sets up in the aft lounge for afternoon treatments. The bartender has learned preferences by the second evening. The cruise director sketches options for tomorrow: a village visit, a drift dive on a wall site, or nothing at all. By sundown, the navy-blue hull is at anchor in a bay that feels entirely private.

Accommodation

Two Cabins, No Compromise

The master suite occupies 25 square meters on the main deck with ocean views, an Australian king-size bed, a plush sofa that converts to a child's bed, wardrobe, and work desk. The ensuite features a rainforest shower. Outside, a private terrace holds a sunbed, dining table, refrigerator, and direct access to the bathing platform with an outdoor shower.

The lower-deck guest cabin carries twin beds that convert to a double, with its own ensuite and air conditioning. For a couple traveling with children or a second pair of friends, the separation between decks gives both parties privacy without sacrificing shared time in the common areas above.
